Where do I see results?
Homework scores are saved in My activities → Homework. In a live game, scores show in your Play live window as students finish, and aren't saved.
Updated
Each homework lists every student who finished, with their score, how many they got right, their tries and when they finished. You can download the list as a CSV file.
Homework
Open My activities → Homework and choose Results on a homework. Each student who finished has a row, best score first: their name, their score, how many they got right and, with unlimited tries, how many times they played. Download CSV gives you the list for Excel or Google Sheets. To take a result out, such as a test you did yourself, press × on its row. How to set homework has more.
During a live game
Once you press Start game, the Play live window lists each student's score as they finish, best first, such as “7 / 10 correct” or “1,250 points”. A badge counts how many have finished, students still going show as “Playing…”, and you see a message when everyone is done. A student's first score in each round is the one that counts.
When you end the game
End game and show the podium puts the top three on a podium, with every other score listed below. Each student sees their own place and the top three on their device.
The ranking also appears in the activity's Leaderboard panel, beside the board, with the time of the game. It stays there until you leave the page.
When you play on the board
With Present, the class plays on one screen, so there are no scores per student. At the end, the game's results screen shows the score and, when Show the right answers is on in Game options, each answer marked right or wrong. In Team board, each team's points stay on the board during the game.
Keeping a record of a live game
Live game scores aren't saved. Before you close the Play live window or leave the page, take a screenshot of the scores, or copy them into your markbook. To keep each score, set the activity as homework instead.
What isn't built yet
A breakdown per question, showing the ones the whole class found hard, is planned. There's no date yet.
Questions about results
Can I export results to Excel or CSV?
Yes, for homework: press Download CSV on its results. Live game scores aren't saved, so take a screenshot of the Play live window before you close it.
Can I see the results of an earlier live game?
No. Live games save nothing, so their scores go when you leave the page. Homework results stay until a year after the due date.
Can I see which questions a student got wrong?
You see how many each student got right, not which ones. In most games, students see their own answers marked right or wrong on their screen, when Show the right answers is on.
A student finished but their score didn't appear
A score is sent when the student reaches the end of the game and sees their results; their device then says it's saved, or in a live game, that it's in. If they left before that, they have no score.
Are students' names and scores stored?
For homework, yes: the first name they typed and their score, for you only, until a year after the due date. Live games store nothing. The privacy policy has the details.
