How does “switch template” work?

Every template reads one of six content types, so you can switch an activity to another template without retyping it.

Updated

The six are questions, pairs, lists, groups, text with gaps and labelled images. Templates of the same type swap instantly. Others adapt your content when it suits them, for example turning word pairs into quiz questions, so you only fill in what is missing.

So the word pairs in a matching game also play as a memory game, a crossword or flash cards, and the word list in a word search also plays as a hangman game or an anagram game.
