    Ways to play

One activity, five ways to use it

Every activity works in class, at home and on paper. Pick what suits today's lesson.

    Present on the board

Teacher-led play on a projector or whiteboard. Great for warm-ups, team games and whole-class review.

    Live on every device

Share a 6-digit code. Students join from any phone or laptop without an account and play in real time, with a podium at the end.

    Homework with results

Set a deadline and share the link. See every student's score and the questions they missed.

    Print a worksheet

Turn any activity into a printable worksheet, card set or answer key. Handy when the Wi-Fi isn't.

    Share anywhere

Send a link, embed it on your class site, or post it to Google Classroom, Teams, Canvas or Moodle.

    AI drafting

Stuck for questions? Start from a topic or a file.

Type a topic or upload last year's worksheet. The assistant drafts the content and you check every line before anything reaches your students.

    • Works from almost anything: a topic, a PDF, a slide deck, a web page or a photo of a textbook page.
    • Fits your class: choose the grade, the language and how hard the questions should be.
    • Included on the free plan: 10 drafts a month, unlimited on Pro.
    Why teachers switch

Fair, fast and made for real classrooms

A free plan you can teach with

Unlimited activities and 16 templates, free forever. No ads are ever shown to your students.

    Live play beyond quizzes

Run match ups, word searches and arcade games live on student devices, not just multiple choice.

    Results, even from the board

Team games played on one screen still save scores per team, so you know what to reteach tomorrow.

    Built for phones first

Most students play on a phone. Every template is designed for small screens and slow connections.

    Your language, your prices

The editor and games run in many languages, and plan prices follow local salaries, not US ones.

    Private by default

No student accounts or emails needed. Schools get a data processing agreement and admin controls.

    Community library

    Don't start from scratch

Search activities shared by other teachers. Play them as they are, or copy one and make it your own.

    Questions

    Good to know

    Is Chalkplay really free?

Yes. The free plan has no limit on how many activities you make. It includes 16 templates, live games for up to 40 players and homework results for 30 days. Pro adds the other 17 templates and more.

    What does "switch template" mean?

Your content isn't locked to one game. Write a list of word pairs once, then turn it into a match up, a memory game, a crossword or flash cards with one click. Templates that need a different kind of content adapt it for you.

Do my students need an account?

No. Students join with a link or a 6-digit code and type their name. If your school prefers, you can require Google or Microsoft sign-in for assignments.

Can I use it with Google Classroom or my LMS?

You can share assignments to Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams on any plan. Grade passback to Canvas, Moodle and other LTI platforms comes with school plans.

    Can I print the activities?

Yes. Most templates have a printable version: worksheets, card sets and answer keys, sized for A4 or US Letter.
